11.20.16 – Sunday on the Waterfront Concert – West Palm Beach, FL – Bárbara Padilla
On Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the City of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Atlantic University invite guests to experience a special Palm Beach Post Sunday on the Waterfront concert featuring Bárbara Padilla and the Palm Beach Atlantic University Symphony.
Vibrant, crossover soprano Bárbara Padilla, a finalist on the fourth season of America’s Got Talent, will perform a collection of colorful and carefully arranged pieces that reflect her diverse musical passions including Puccini’s “O Mio Babbino Caro” and Musumarra’s “Tu Sei” to Bizet’s “Habanera”.
During the free event, Barbara will be joined on stage by Palm Beach Atlantic University’s full symphony orchestra, comprised of local semi-professional players and 60 talented students for one powerful musical collaboration. Under the direction of Dr. Lloyd Mims, the PBA Symphony will also perform popular and classical repertoire by Tchaikovsky’s “Overture Fantasy on Hamlet”, Anderson’s “Blue Tango” and more. Additional entertainment during the special event will include an upbeat Bluegrass performance by triplet virtuosos Michael, Tom, and Joshua Lubben of the Lubben Brothers band. This talented trio of folk musicians is known for performing everything from traditional bluegrass and American folk songs, to Celtic tunes and Irish ballads.
